Carbon steel pipe is made of steel ingot or solid round steel by piercing and then hot rolling, cold rolling or cold drawing.
1. Classification of carbon steel pipe:
Carbon steel pipes are divided into hot-rolled and cold-rolled (drawn) steel pipes.
Hot rolled carbon steel pipe is divided into general steel pipe, low and medium pressure boiler steel pipe, high pressure boiler steel pipe, alloy steel pipe, stainless steel pipe, oil cracking pipe, geological steel pipe and other steel pipes.
Cold rolled (drawn) carbon steel pipe includes general steel pipe, low and medium pressure boiler steel pipe, high pressure boiler steel pipe, alloy steel pipe, stainless steel pipe, petroleum cracking pipe and other steel pipes, as well as carbon thin-walled steel pipe, alloy thin-walled steel pipe, stainless thin-walled steel pipe and special-shaped steel pipe. The outer diameter of hot-rolled seamless pipe is generally larger than 32mm, the wall thickness is 2.5-75mm, the outer diameter of cold-rolled seamless pipe can be 6mm, the wall thickness can be 0.25mm, the outer diameter of thin-walled pipe can be 5mm, the wall thickness is less than 0.25mm, and the dimension precision of cold-rolled seamless pipe is higher than that of hot-rolled pipe.
General carbon steel pipe: it is made of 10, 20, 30, 35, 45 and other high-quality carbon Steel 16Mn, 5mnv and other low alloy structural steel or 40Cr, 30CrMnSi, 45Mn2, 40MnB and other alloy steel by hot rolling or cold rolling. The seamless pipes made of 10, 20 and other low carbon steel are mainly used for fluid transmission pipes. Seamless tubes made of medium carbon steel such as 45, 40Cr are used to make mechanical parts, such as the stressed parts of automobiles and tractors.
2. Preparation method
The raw material of carbon steel pipe is round tube blank. The round tube blank needs to be cut by the cutting machine to process the blank with a growth of about 1 meter, and sent to the furnace for heating through the conveyor belt. The billet is heated in a furnace at a temperature of about 1200 degrees Celsius. The fuel is hydrogen or acetylene. The temperature control in the furnace is a key problem. After the round tube is discharged, it needs to be pierced by a pressure piercer. The common piercer is the cone roll piercer. This kind of piercer has high production efficiency, good product quality, large perforation expanding capacity and can wear many kinds of steel. After piercing, the round tube blank is successively rolled, continuously rolled or extruded by three rollers. After extrusion, the tube shall be removed for sizing. The sizing machine uses a cone-shaped bit to rotate into the steel embryo at high speed to drill holes to form steel pipes.
